"Walkabout-Dogs, Dog Walking and Pet Services"

People are always saying the reason they've never gotten a dog was because they would feel sorry for it stuck inside a house all day. Or, dogs are for guarding the home. Both things are common thoughts but wouldn't  it be nice to have someone take them out during the day? A little company for a lovely walk through the park or a run around, if the case may be…. How wonderful would that sound for our little friends!

The benefits of having your dog walked during the day could help with problems or troublesome behaviour.  Reducing the stress when they are stuck in all day.  This can hopefully help stop chewing or howling when you are at work/out. This can also help to burn off some of their energy during the day or stop them getting bored.  No more surprises left on the kitchen floor or hall carpet for when you get home…..

SECURITY 

We are a member of NARP (National Association of Registered Pet Sitters).  All members have to be police checked and supply references before joining.  We DO NOT walk any more than four dogs at one time.  Our average walk is 30-40 minutes long. All keys are kept in a secure location.

WHAT WALKABOUT DOGS DO

All pets are picked up from their home (or where is best for you).  We have 2 funky vans that are fitted out especially for transporting animals.  Cages and dog beds inside with clean towels and toys a-plenty.  A non-slip rubber floor has been added to both vans for maximum comfort while being transported.  We walk anywhere from woodland parks, open fields to the beach (depending on business that day).

All dogs are firstly walked on a lead until we access them further.  Together with yourself we will work on a walk that best suits your dog. We supply fresh water, toys, soft towels and dog poop bags.

We are very environmentally friendly and when all dogs poop we do indeed scoop!!

All the dogs that we walk have a weekly picture and a little story put up on our web site telling you where they've been and what they've been doing. (This is only on owners consent).
